First returns in almost a week

After nothing for almost a full week I received 3 nice returns today. Jose Contreras signed in 28 days from spring training. Jon Albaladejo signed his Nationals rookie card in 26 days from spring training. Luis Tiant signed from his home in 18 days. I also sent some more requests out to a lot of coaches on Friday and today. It was nice to get a few more spring training requests back, but this is probably the last of them.

3 more former Yankees today

Today's mail brought Don Zimmer (or his wife) and Hector Lopez in 12 days from their homes. Bob Wickman also came through for me in 8 days from his home. Still hoping for a few more current Yankees as spring training winds down.

Nice day and more outgoing letters

Today brought 3 good returns. Stan Musial sent a signed postcard c/o his foundation in 20 days. Randy Velarde and Bobby Murcer each signed cards from their homes in 14 days. Murcer also sent a donation request form.

2 Yankees and 2 49ers

These all came in on Friday or Saturday. Frank Gore signed a card in 25 days c/o the 49ers. The signature was pretty smudged. Alex Smith returned my card and sent a signed photo. I'm not completely sure but I think the signature is pre-printed. This also came in 25 days. Jeff Karstens also signed in 25 days c/o spring training. This signature was also smudged. Finally, Ralph Houk signed in about 9 days from his home. I also received a RTS from John Flaherty. I am going to try a different address I've found for him.

First failure and 1 from Tampa

Today's mail brought Darrell Rasner from spring training in 17 days. I also received my first failure with a return-to-sender from Bruce Sutter's address which has been confirmed by others.

2 more former Yankees

I received 2 more former Yankees in the mail today. Chad Curtis signed in 9 days from his work address and Scott Kamieniecki signed in 9 days from his home.

Today brought Aaron Boone from Nationals spring training and Bobby Thomson from his home in 15 days. I also received Chris Britton from Yankees spring training in 13 days.

Best day yet with 6 in

Today's mail brought 7 signed cards from 6 players. Ron Cey, Mark Grace and Bobby Bonilla all signed in 7 days from their homes. Edwar Ramirez, Ross Ohlendorf and Jeff Marquez all signed in 12 days from Yankees spring training.

Saturday brought former Yankee catcher Rick Cerone in 5 days from his home address.
