Today brought a signed card by Bobby Doerr that I got for free on TheBench. I know he's a Red Sock but he's also a Hall of Famer. I also got my card back from Omir Santos in 59 days c/o Norfolk Tides after I wrote him a letter in Spanish. Finally, I got back my custom card from the oldest living Yankee, Bill Werber, in 8 days c/o home. Werber was a teammate of Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig.

Tadahito Iguchi signed in 12 days c/o Padres and Mark Buehrle signed in 12 days c/o White Sox. I also received a signed 8.5 x 11 photo from Memphis basketball coach John Calipari in 3 months c/o email.

Twins closer Joe Nathan signed in 12 days c/o Minnesota Twins. I also got my card back unsigned from Fernando Valenzuela.

Hank Aaron

I saw some people get Hank Aaron last week so I figured he is worth trying to get. I didn't have any cards or pictures of him so I sent this Braves sticker card. Hank signed and returned the card in 7 days c/o the Braves. Nice return, just wish he would have signed it a bit lower on the card. Also received a RTS from Aaron Small on an address someone else told me they had a success with last week.

Tom Brookens signed in 12 days c/o Erie SeaWolves where he is the manager. He also added his own one cent stamp to cover the postage increase even though I used a forever stamp.

Former 49ers running back Garrison Hearst signed my card in 53 days c/o his home.

Phil Niekro and Jim Wynn

Today's mail brought Jim Wynn in 9 days c/o home and Phil Niekro in 8 days c/o home. This was my second attempt for Niekro. He sent my letter back last month. This time I think I tricked him by using an official envelope from a local college. The envelope had the college's logo and return address on it and had a window slot for the address of the receiver.

Today's mail brought 6 Yankees. Dave LaPoint signed in 19 days c/o Long Island Ducks where he is the manager. Hensley Meulens signed in 33 days c/o Indianapolis Indians where he is the hitting coach. Jake Westbrook signed in 13 days c/o Cleveland Indians. Mariano Duncan signed in 48 days c/o Los Angeles Dodgers where he is the first base coach. Don Larsen and Phil Linz each signed in 6 days c/o their homes. Linz also sent a signed business card with the box score of of Game 2 of the 1964 World Series on the back.

Today's mail brought two more former Yankees. Lee Guetterman signed in 16 days c/o home and former manager Buck Showalter signed in 14 days c/o home. I also received an 8 1/2 x 11 signed photo of Duke Coach Mike Krzyzewski in 73 days c/o email.

Thursday's mail

Pat Neshek sent a signed New Britain Rock Cats card in 9 days after I sent him my extra Bobby Bonilla. Stump Merrill also signed 2 cards in 16 days from his home address.

Two requests from early March came back today. General Colin Powell signed a card of him throwing out the first pitch at Yankee Stadium in 1991 c/o his work address in 58 days. Jamie Moyer also signed a card in 65 days c/o Phillies spring training.
